About the Author 

Manisha B.L has completed her master's in chemistry, she is a teacher by profession and author by passion. She is also a podcast speaker who initiates herself to speak about the mental health and awareness. She is the author of her solo book " Everyone cannot make you happy", co-authored various books like "When Hiraeth whispered", Hidden emotions in male written for Indian Bulletin and some of her works are yet to be  published.  ILLUSION FRIEND

Illusion is better than reality, when reality strikes the life sinks but keeping it as an mystery could definitely work.

Smruthi a girl filled with responsibilities yet a spark of desires in her eyes, things never went her way, life was harsh to her in different ways. She assumed to be unloved by all. She assumed her smile covered all her fears and trauma but it never went unnoticed by her friend Ganvi.

Ganvi wanted her friend to be out of the situation but it wasn't a cake walk hence ganvi smartly played a trick to put her out of the situation.

                             *Ganvi* 

It was a peacefully morning, I drove to a nearby phone store and purchased a Sim; immediately transferred the Sim to my phone and saved Smruthi's number and pinged her spontaneously 

(Chats)

Ganvi(illusion): Hy

Smruthi: Hy, who's this (reverted immediately)

Claven: I'm claven!! Is it samiksha

Smruthi: No I'm smruthi

Claven: sorry to disturb you, I think there was some glitch.

Smruthi: That's OK👍🏻

Claven: it was nice talking to you, hope to stay connected .

 _Ganvi did not hope for a further chats though😕_ 

Few days later:

Smruthi: hy, how r u

Claven: hy, I'm good, how r u

Smruthi: Good to hear that

Claven: what made you remind me today or is it anything special?😝 

Smruthi: I'm feeling lonely inspite of people been around me the other day when I received a message from you it did make me feel good. Can you be my friend.

Claven: sure, 😁I'm glad that you felt better after communicating with me.

(Ganvi felt a little better knowing that she could give a little relief to her friend in some way.)

A Week later!!!

Smruthi: Y me always 

Claven: what happened friend

Smruthi: I'm molested at my work place most of the time 

Claven: wait!! Wat? Ur going to college right.

Smruthi: I have financial crisis and I go for a part time job in a bakery, I haven't told anybody as yet.

Claven: Going for job and been independent is so good you don't have to hide it from anybody, you got to be proud of yourself.

Smruthi: you make me feel so good about myself.

Claven: And molesting, you don't have to go through it, stand for yourself, fight for you and take legal infringement.

The illusion friend helped smruthi so much more, the friendship continued for eternity and the identity remained unrevealed forever.

 *Moral:* illusion is better than fakers.
