In essence, the novel is written in the key of love. They were just plain friends at first, exchanging stuff. She used to be in a medical camp and would work nonstop to make sure the paperwork pile was gone.

 She was enjoying the chat until he called her, and then the phone suddenly died. She decided right away to travel the three hours to see him after learning later that he had been in an accident. That was when she realised all of a sudden how she felt for him. But they parted ways to have different lifestyles, which hurt her emotionally.
