As I chant Ganpati Bappa Morya and send my best wishes for the Ganesha festival via this article, I think it's an opportune time to recollect memories around this festival and the festivities it accompanies. 

The Ganesha festival has a significance for those who follow the Hindu way of life, however, many of us should also know that the festival was a show of solidarity and support for independence of the nation.

The Ganesha festival brings together people from different walks of life, uniting everyone under the blessings of the Elephant God who promises to bless us with wisdom, good health and remove obstacles in our path. 

Each pocket of the country celebrates this festival by bringing the deity home, serving and honoring the Lord with sweets, savouries and chants, while also ensuring everyone around the living space is invited to chant the Lord's glory and pray towards his magnanimity. 

It's been said that reverence and deep prayers to Ganesha with a pure heart can help anyone find their journey in life and take a path that puts their perspective in place.
